Paul Tristram- A Poem

Supper

It’s a quarter past midnight
I’m hungry, off to the kitchen.
Two slices of extra thick Hovis bread,
four slices of chicken breast,
eight slices of cucumber,
two leaves of lettuce
some mayonnaise
and the eighth can of lager.
If that ain’t art
then you ain’t tasted art!

Paul Tristram is a Welsh writer who has poems, short stories and sketches published in many publications around the world, he yearns to tattoo porcelain bridesmaids instead of digging empty graves for innocence at midnight, this too may pass, yet.
